Somewhere in 2015 Dr Darko visited my home to do an AI (artificial insemination) on one of my Bulldogs. I was living in the same house that we are living in now. When he entered my kitchen/living area he suddenly stood still and stared at my fireplace. He then told me he had a Deja Vu moment. Years before he dreamed about this fireplace. I could see he was in shock. He told me much later that my bedroom was also a Deja Vu moment for him. He then knew this will be his home one day. He also told me that he dreamed about Dr Moelich years before he ever knew South Africa existed. Dr Moelich was the first South African vet that gave him a job and the opportunity to start a life in South Africa. When we had our last meeting at my home for the Bulldog club, Dr Darko phoned me the morning and asked if would prefer white or red wine? I said it really does not matter he may bring what he feels like. He then explained to me it matters a lot, because white wine is for fun and red wine is for sin. He then brought red wine that evening, and that is the night our friendship changed to ‘Volim Te’ – I LOVE YOU. He had this mural done on our kitchen wall as a surprise.
